Success Story: Joey
Watching your child work so hard toward something and not see it come together can be heartbreaking. That is where Joey was almost two years ago. He wanted to work, he wanted to contribute, and he was sending out applications left and right. Each time he tried and did not hear back, we saw his confidence take a hit. As parents, it was hard to know how to help beyond encouraging him to keep going.
When Dreamcatchers came into the picture, we finally felt Joey was not carrying this burden alone. From the very beginning, Dyane Wilson stepped in with understanding and a clear plan. She did not just help Joey build a resume or prep for interviews. She gave him structure, encouragement, and the kind of guidance that parents cannot always provide because the job market is tough even for adults with years of experience.
We watched Joey learn persistence on a whole new level. Every application he filled out, every interview he prepared for, even the disappointments along the way shaped him. There were days he doubted himself, and days we worried right along with him. But Dyane never gave up on him. She believed in his potential and kept him focused when the process stretched longer than any of us expected.
The turning point was Nitro City Racing. Joey put everything into that opportunity, and when the internship turned into an actual job offer, we saw the pride on his face. That moment, seeing him recognized for his hard work and determination, is one we will never forget.
As parents, we are deeply grateful to Dreamcatchers and to Dyane for being that steady hand guiding Joey to this milestone. Landing his first job is more than just a paycheck. It is confidence, independence, and the start of something bigger. And none of this would have happened without the support Dreamcatchers provided.
Thank you for giving Joey the chance to prove himself, and for giving us the joy of watching our son step into his future. - Todd & Darla
