Dreamcatchers Celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month
On October 22nd, Dreamcatchers held their 11th annual Client Success Recognition luncheon in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) to celebrate participants that have become hired. This year’s theme was “Blooming into Success," with joyous sunflowers blooming in various stages throughout the room. Many participants shared aloud their testimonies of how employment has changed their lives. The event was a huge success with guests including participants of services and their family members, employers, community partners, donors, sponsors, Dreamcatchers' Board of Directors and staff, and state and county officials.
Dreamcatchers board member, author, and Chief Operating Officer of the Alliance for Rights and Recovery, Len Statham, was the keynote speaker this year. For more than 20 years, Len has advanced peer support, psychiatric rehabilitation, employment and recovery-focused services. Sharing his own lived-experience testimony, he affirmed the belief that employment is possible and that we all have something valuable to contribute.
Dreamcatchers is proud to celebrate and shine the spotlight on individuals who have worked so hard for all their accomplishments. A day filled with wonderful stories of perseverance, inspiration, and dreams being achieved! Congratulations to all!

A special thank you to our sponsors for helping to make this event possible. We greatly appreciate your generous support!

"Hello, my name is Marcela. Dreamcatchers helped in so many ways; they helped me with transportation, helped me put my resume together, and they helped me with clothing and glasses. I'm so grateful for this program - without it I don’t know if I would be employed."
